Our
Mission
To provide high-quality civil and environmental engineering and surveying
services to clients desiring excellence, distinction and value.
PEC is a 88-member civil and environmental engineering and land-surveying
firm. Our success in these areas has created career opportunities in many
divisions. PEC offers motivated professionals a dynamic work environment
as well as excellent compensation and benefits.
A brief description of our benefits is listed below.
Medical
PEC offers its full-time employees a choice of a POS (Point of Service)
or HMO medical plan, life insurance and dental insurance.
Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holidays
Vacation accrual begins immediately on a monthly basis, with employee earning
2 weeks after one year of employment and three weeks after five years.
PEC provides 6 paid holidays per year: New Year’s, Memorial Day,
Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. PEC also provides
5 days of personal leave per year for absences due to personal illness
or injury or medical emergencies in the immediate family. Employees are
paid for unused sick leave that is not carried forward.
Paid Professional Registration
PEC offers several opportunities to further your degree. PEC pays for professional
registrations and occupational licenses. Membership dues and fees for approved
organization and societies are also paid by PEC.
Continuing Professional Development
PEC sponsors attendance at selected conferences, workshops and seminars.
Paid Organizational Membership
PEC is a member of several professional organizations. Organizations such
as the Florida Engineering Society, the Home Builders Association, American
Society of Civil Engineers, American Society of Highway Engineers, American
Society of Landscape Architects, American Water Resources Association,
American Water Works Association, Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers,
Florida Stormwater Association, Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce Chamber
Trustees, West Orange Camber of Commerce, Institute of Transportation Engineers,
National Society of Professional Surveyors and the Water Environment Federation
contribute to the continual growth of PEC.
Employee
Qualified Investment Plan
(401k/
Profit Sharing Plan)
Employees who have been employed six months at the beginning of the plan
year are enrolled into the plan. Employees are allowed to contribute
up to the maximum amount allowed by IRS to the Plan and PEC typically
makes a matching contribution.
Internships
Opportunities for college students are periodically available in several

Community Service
PEC and its employees are an active part of the community both as contributors
and as volunteers. We have several charities and volunteer services that
our employees are proud to be a part of. Some include: Florida Engineering
Society’s Project CREATE, MathCounts, Toys for Tots, Career Days
at local schools, Habitat for Humanity, the Boys and Girls Club, Boys
Scouts and United Way.
